Class Overview
The new DC1M STAR program stands for “Safety Training Award Recognition”. This program rewards the continued efforts of working safely on job sites, and also continuing upgrade training. The next terms of eligibility will run from June 1, 2024 – May 31, 2025 with the annual picnic at Camp Dearborn on Saturday, September 20th, 2025.
Eligibility Requirements for the STAR Award Annual Banquet:
- Be a member in good standing within your DC1M local
- Work a minimum of 800 hours in a year without a recordable injury.
- Participate in at least 8 hours of upgrade training per year of eligibility.
